Tom Leykis Claims 400,000 Listeners in 2 weeks

Tom Leykis is shouting out loud and proud that his new online radio service has more than 400,000 listeners.

He makes the claim on Facebook that the new call-in show that launched April 2, has attracted “401 thousand listeners! More than KABC and 13 other L.A. stations!”

Leykis also tells the Orange County Register that Google Analytics shows 80,000 visits to his show’s website at blowmeuptom.com, in addition to audience from TuneIn, Winamp, Windows Media Player and iTunes.

Meanwhile, he says a podcast of the show logged 500 subscribers in its first seven days.

The former KLSX Los Angeles talent has been plotting his return for three years, while CBS paid out his contract after blowing up talk KLSX (97.1) and replacing it with CHR “Amp.” The “Tom Leykis Show Live” is produced by his company The New Normal. Listening is free as a stream, while a premium subscription membership will get you archived shows, special audio content and other extras.
